Starting on 17th July, this year's Festival presents a ten day programme of events covering a variety of art forms.
Drama and Comedy:
The Laughing Chili Comedy Club gets the Festival off to an entertaining start and then later in the week Chester House Productions treat us to the story of Florence Nightingale.
Talks and Demonstrations:
Returning by popular demand, renowned crossword setter Tim Moorey will give a talk on Dr Johnson and his Dictionary; Francesco from local restaurant 'Little Italy' gives an Italian cookery demonstration; for art lovers, John Spink will talk to us about the Golden Age of British Watercolours.
We are delighted that Shepperton Studios will again host a talk about the history and future of our famous local film studios.
Music and Dance:
A rare chance to see and hear Italian music and dance is brought to us by Amaraterra; the David Way String Trio play Beethoven, Breval and Bach followed by a Cream Tea; a musical drama 'Alive to Tell the Story' telling the last days of Jesus' life through the words of Lazarus is presented by Sunbury Methodist Church. Our final musical event is a Coffee Concert given by the young and exciting Ellis Ensemble.
Boat trip:
To round off the Festival, join us for a boat trip from Walton to Chertsey and back. Local historian, Nick Pollard, will tell us about the history of the islands and riverside.
With the exception of the Shepperton Studios talk and the Boat Trip, all events will be held at the Riverside Arts Centre, 59 Thames Street, Lower Sunbury
