Readers will remember the article describing the Linden Homes application to develop the Police College site in Green Street (See entry for 23rd April below). An e-petition has now been set up and you are asked to click on the following link to give your support.

We thought the plans for the Police College development were excellent. A great deal of thought had been made by the architects to fit in with the conservation area. Why all the negativity when we have the worry of the London Irish plans?

Nothing wrong with the proposals whatsoever. Why on earth is there a petition for this type of thing. Eco Park and London Irish proposals absolutely wrong but this one just makes it look like residents are anti everything.

The Police College development will not have as much negative impact on Sunbury's conservation area as the XCEL Leisure complex development at Waterside Drive in Elmbridge. An athletics stadium, granstand and six football pitches located immediately next to the Sunbury weir will flood King's Lawn with light through autumn and winter evenings and noise throughout the year. It will be a major nuisance for residents of Lower Sunbury, yet it is not featured on the LOSRA website. We need a petition against that!!
