Spelthorne_Borough_Council_logo.jpg - 11.84 kBStrategic Planning Team of Spelthorne Borough Council has launched the Scoping Consultation for the new Local Plan, inviting residents and stakeholders to help shape how the area will grow and develop in the years ahead. The consultation runs for six weeks, from Monday 22 June to Monday 3 August 2026 (11.59pm).

At this early stage, the Council is seeking views on the key strategic issues the new Plan should address, which organisations should be consulted, and how future engagement should be carried out. No decisions are being made about specific development sites at this point.

Residents, local businesses and other interested parties can learn more on the Local Plan Engagement Hub, where the Scoping Statement is available to read. Responses can be submitted through the online survey and comments on specific locations can be shared via the Interactive Map.

All feedback will be reviewed after the consultation closes and will help inform the next stage of Local Plan preparation.
