    1. There needs to be some way of enforcing speed limits as people are ignoring the existing ones. There was a freshly killed fox, its blood still shining, lying in the road near Indian Zest at around 8 - 8.30 on the evening of 15 October. It lay in the west bound lane with its head facing east towards French Street. At that point traffic should be travelling at 20mph, which surely allows sufficient braking time to avoid hitting a fox. Vehicles regularly travel along Green Street at speeds well in excess of 30mph. There has recently been an increase in the number of vehicles driving at speed along Forge Lane and associated streets. This is particularly problematic as there is frequently only space of about one car's width in the road due to increased pressure on parking in the neighbourhood, thus increasing the risk of collision.

    2. Hampton is now 20mph and given the narrow streets and the amount of traffic in Lower Sunbury it would seem sensible to follow Hampton's example. (I believe that Richmond Borough is intending to make most of its roads 20mph.)

    3. I agree with the proposal that Lower Hampton Road should also be 20mph. Again the road is narrowed by cars parked on both sides, and usually there is a skip as well, and as the road curves the line of sight down the road is often obstructed, particularly on the westbound side.

    4. There needs to be a coherent approach to traffic speed between French Street and the intersection of Lower Sunbury Road and Staines Road East/A308. The A308 east of that intersection (i.e. within Hampton) is 20mph. Lower Sunbury Road is initially 30mph until a point which is presumably the western boundary of Richmond Borough. The speed limit then increases to 40mph for exactly half a mile before dropping back to 30mph near the cricket ground. That half mile is precisely the section of the road which is particularly bendy, with blind driveway entrances to the houses on the south side of the road (eg Puck's Corner). Indeed the 40mph road sign is almost immediately followed by a sign indicating the sharp bends in the road and advising that speed should be reduced. Surely even if the reduction to 20mph along Lower Hampton Road is not achieved the 40mph half mile anomaly should be corrected.

Why can't we have a 20mph speed limit along Lower Hampton Road? I live on this road in Sunbury and so many drivers come speeding down here. Often dangerous to try an access one's car ... and not nice for the cyclists either. Sometimes I feel quite frustrated and angry about cars speeding here.
