Hi Colin, I think it might be in memory of Gerry Ceaser, former Mayor and Sunbury resident.

Regarding the building, I think the artist's impression above is of the current building where planning has already been approved (Phase 1 as they call it, with 55 dwellings). The new consultation is for a 2nd block of rental properties (Ceaser Court 2), with an additional 36 dwellings and 1/3 of the ground floor for community use (or 31 dwellings they suggested to me yesterday, if the whole of the ground floor was given over to community use).

I would be interested to know LOSRA's considered view (one of the representatives at the consultation suggested they had already presented to LOSRA). I would also be interested to know what Sunbury Health Centre's view is (as apparently they, or those responsible for their building at least, have also already been approached).

Regarding parking, they suggested that proposals are in their early stages, but there would be 105 spaces across both phases of the development (i.e. 105 spaces for 91 residential units as the proposals stand, or 86 residential units in total if the whole of the ground floor of this proposed second block was given over to community use).

    Some trees would go!

Regarding the notice about the development of homes to rent at "Ceaser Court", is the new name really to be spelt this way? It looks wrong to me as it appears that it could be a mis-spelling of the name of Julius Caesar! Clearly Caesar would be a much better name anyway.
