Please be aware that Cemex will have a massive concrete crusher on site virtually opposite Fordbridge Park which will impact many residents with the noise and air pollution it will create. The fight needs to continue in order to stop this "gravel extraction" which is a means to make lots of money for them with the infill clay and rubble via huge lorries queuing every morning to get into the site (300 per day) . Don't presume that CEMEX care a fig about one single resident. Its all about the money. I am surprised that the LOSRA representatives feel that this is now a "done deal" just because the site has been accepted for extraction by Surrey County Council.. CEMEX have stated they will use the site for 7 years for extraction of the gravel and infill by non porous material .This will be the INITIAL period and once they are working the site there is nothing to stop them applying and getting an extension which could be for up to 20 years subject to demand.. Flood is inevitable.
