The Association has been asked by Age UK Runnymede and Spelthorne to bring this notice to our readers and we are happy to oblige:

Information and Advice is a FREE service where one of our team can visit you at home to complete benefit checks, to help you complete forms, apply for a blue badge and much more.  Other features of this service include reading your post, providing details of our social activities, support services or other local information. We all have times when we need support.

Age UK Runnymede and Spelthorne do not charge a subscription, just an hourly rate.  Our own staff can help:

We can help with:

  • Shopping
  • Cleaning
  • Companionship
  • Laundry
  • Changing the bed
  • Collect prescriptions
  • GP visits
  • Help with paperwork
  • Changing/fitting handrails or grab rails
  • Fitting Key safes
  • Accompanied trips
  • Small plumbing jobs
  • Putting up shelves/pictures
  • Fitting draft excludes/door chains
  • Gardening

and much more...

Recovering from an illness at home or from hospital?

If you need extra help at this time, we offer 18 hours of general help (not personal care*) over a 4-6 week period; types of help include shopping, light cleaning,  collecting prescriptions.

Struggling to bath or shower in your own home?

There is nothing quite like that feeling once you have just bathed or showered but this is something, we know people can struggle with.

Be treated with dignity and respect and be pampered by one of our CQC registered bathing team who will visit you regularly at pre-agreed times.

Enjoy getting out and about with our Social Activities and Outings programme for all.  

Join our: Allotment Club, Singing Group, Monday Club, Badminton Club, Tonic Time exercise class, and a free to join Door to Door outings programme.

We also work closely with two other holiday organisations: Dementia Adventure (enabling holidays together) and Creative Travel (a range of inclusive coach holidays).

If you are keen to talk to someone but not able to join in these activities, our Call In Time service (a regular phone call for a chat) or our Befriending service (a regular visit by one of our DBS checked volunteers for a coffee and a chat) either might be right for you.

We also have three minibuses that are available for any local organisations or clubs to use.

An annual affiliation charge of £16.00 enables registration and a further cost of £50.00 per journey is paid.  This includes the first 15 miles of travel and any additional mileage is charged at £1.20 per mile.  Total cost of trip is invoiced at the end of the travel month.

Other items of interest include: Wheelchair loans, RADAR keys for sale.

    Do you sell reasonable. Priced lightweight folding wheelchairs.
